Women in Aikido ~ Anita Wilson first lady dan grade in over 70 year history of Ellis Schools of Traditional Aikido. Wilson Sensei graded by Jei Nakazono Sensei. Anita is the first lady assistant to Henry Ellis Sensei 6th dan International Birankai AikiKai Hombu. Anita is proud to have received her first dan in 2007 from Jei Nakazono Sensei, Jei is the second son of the great Aikido master Masahilo Nakazono who had graded both Eastman and Ellis to dan grade in 1960. Anita fully deserved he grade by training alongside the senior men Aikidoka for 17 years at the main Bracknell dojo.

The book covers the history of the inception of Aikido to the UK by Kenshiro Abbe Sensei. its further development by the early pioneers. This book covers so much more than that ! This book is about Aikido the martial art, there is no references to harmonising with the planets or Ki magic. A book for the martial artist.

Henry Ellis - born in Concrete Cottages in 1936. Co-author of 7 published books. My journey from Concrete to the Royal Albert Hall - Crystal Palace - Television - BBC World Radio, London Japanese Embassy, International magazine articles, I had so many incredible achievements, I would always say to my self "not bad for a kid from Concrete".
